Every Second Counts.
We Save Lives.
Every emergency tells the same story: the first few minutes determine whether a person survives. Mngohol Life Saving Foundation exists to ensure that those minutes are never wasted through better training, faster response, and stronger communities across Africa.
Making Communities Ready to Save Lives.
Mngohol Life Saving Foundation (MLSF) is a non-profit humanitarian organization dedicated to strengthening emergency preparedness, improving emergency response systems, and promoting healthier and safer communities.
We empower individuals with lifesaving knowledge and practical skills, mobilize communities for voluntary blood donation, advance public health education, and build partnerships that reduce preventable deaths and improve emergency outcomes across Nigeria.
Through collaboration and volunteer-driven action, MLSF is transforming ordinary citizens into confident first responders and creating communities that are prepared to act when every second counts.
Our Mission
To mitigate preventable mortality and morbidity by providing professional pre-hospital emergency care, developing a network of trained first responders, and delivering swift humanitarian assistance during health crises, conflicts, and disasters, anchored on the principles of compassion and professional lifesaving practice.
Our Vision
To serve as a preeminent centre of excellence for emergency medical response, disaster preparedness, and humanitarian rescue, fostering community resilience and public safety.
FOUNDER'S STORY
Trained at the School of Nursing, Makurdi, Benue State, Nigeria, RN. Mngohol Abigail developed a deep understanding of the importance of timely care in saving lives. Her experience exposed her to the reality that, in many emergencies, the first person at the scene—not a healthcare professional—may have the greatest opportunity to make a difference.
Inspired by the spirit of the Good Samaritan, she founded Mngohol Life Saving Foundation (MLSF) to bring lifesaving knowledge beyond the hospital and into communities and schools. Through first aid training, community education, life-jacket distribution, and emergency preparedness initiatives, MLSF works to equip ordinary people with the knowledge and confidence to respond when lives are at risk.
